Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior CAD/BIM Lead to advance design drawings and technical coordination across projects. You will perform complex drafting, guide junior CADD staff, and ensure high-quality deliverables within a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

Ideal candidates bring at least 5 years as a CAD Technician, expertise in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and InRoads, and strong organizational skills to support multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical school degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years as a CAD Technician.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and InRoads.
• Experience using Microsoft Office in production workflows.
• Ability to lead technicians and coordinate with junior staff.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Understanding of engineering or architectural concepts, workflows, and deliverables.
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-routine and complex drafting assignments using standardized drawing techniques.
• Perform Redline corrections and develop design drawings from initial sketches.
• Take responsibility for drawing layout.
• Work independently with occasional supervisor guidance.
• Direct efforts of less-experienced CADD Technicians as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
