Job summary

The Idaho Army National Guard, Construction and Facilities Maintenance Office, seeks an Assistant Facility Design Project Manager to lead design and construction projects for facilities and to prepare and manage capital improvement budget requests through the project lifecycle.

This role serves as assistant PM for MILCON projects and oversees outfitting requirements through closeout, with travel for training as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction practices across trades, reading plans, blueprints, specifications, and materials data.
• Knowledge of project management guidelines and software, scheduling phases, goals, and communication.
• Knowledge of planning, contract procedures, and CM for ARNG projects.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations for design, construction, and contracting.
• Knowledge of computers with PM software, construction software, and record keeping.
• Knowledge of managing duties including coaching, scheduling, and performance standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with executives and senior officials.

• Manage design and construction projects from initiation to closeout.
• Prepare and manage capital improvement budget requests.
