Job summary

The Building People, LLC seeks a Facilities Construction Manager to support Army Reserve DPW facilities in Columbia, SC. You will manage field assessments, contractor oversight, and documentation across planning, execution, and project closeout for multiple federal facilities projects.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction management, strong communication, and ability to travel for site visits. Clearance eligibility and U.S. work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience overseeing field construction activities and contractor performance.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management and field coordination across planning, assessment, and execution.
• Support asset development planning, master planning, and regional forecasting.
• Coordinate infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities, buildings) with field teams.
• Conduct field surveys, utility vault evaluations, and drawing verification.
• Prepare technical reports and field data collection documentation on schedule.
• Develop scopes of work, technical docs, and construction support materials.
• Coordinate with government personnel, contractors, and stakeholders for project success.
• Review construction docs for alignment with UFC, codes, and field conditions.
• Support ~6 infrastructure projects annually and travel for site assessments.
