Job summary

805 Department of Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Housekeeping/Custodial Worker for the Oklahoma School for the Blind in Muskogee. The position is full-time, with responsibilities spanning cleaning, sanitation, inventory, and safety compliance.

Two levels exist: Level I entry and Level II with expanded duties. Standard duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, waste disposal, and maintaining cleanliness across classrooms, hallways and facilities.

Qualifications

• Follow oral and written instructions.

• Safety and sanitation awareness.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, mop, scrub, wash, vacuum, wax and polish floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize laboratories, washrooms, and bedrooms; maintain supplies.
• Dispose of trash and manage custodial supplies and inventory.
• Observe safety rules and report violations; assist in training lower level workers.
• Plan, supervise and inspect housekeeping activities and maintain records and budgets.
