Goodwill Industries of Lower South Carolina (Palmetto Goodwill) seeks an on-site cleaner to maintain sanitary conditions in our facilities in Charleston. Responsibilities include routine cleaning of restrooms, floors, surfaces, and equipment, with attention to disinfecting high-contact areas and waste management.

The role requires adherence to MSDS guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and a commitment to quality, safety, and timely completion of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Follow MSDS guidelines when using various chemicals.
• Empty trash receptacles.

Responsibilities

• Clean toilets, urinals, and sinks and sanitize them regularly.
• Sweep and damp mop floors with a disinfectant cleaner.
• Refill all paper and soap dispensers as needed.
• Clean mirrors with glass cleaner.
• Spot clean walls to remove stains or prints.
• Buff floors to remove scuff marks.
• Strip and wax floors to restore shine.
• High dust above 70 inches including air ducts.
• Vacuum traffic areas and office spaces.
• Dust and vacuum waiting chairs.
• Top scrub and repeat if needed.
• Mop up spills promptly.
• Clean, wipe sinks and water coolers with disinfectant.
• Clean and sanitize microwaves and refrigerators.
• Clean and wipe vending machines.
• Clean air ducts.
• High and low cleaning.
• Other duties as assigned.
