Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking a janitor to provide cleaning services for a facility in North Charleston, SC, to maintain a safe, neat, and professional work environment.

Responsibilities include disinfecting, dusting, floor care, restroom upkeep, waste management, window cleaning, and outdoor surface cleaning, with adherence to green cleaning and regulatory standards. The role supports a federal contractor environment with equal opportunity commitments.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training required, but preferred.
• Must submit to and receive a favorable suitability determination from the Office of Personnel Management for unescorted access to facilities
• Must submit to and receive a favorable background criminal history check by name and date of birth from State of Residence

Responsibilities

• Disinfect and dust surfaces and fixtures
• Clean floors and carpets
• Clean and maintain stockage in restrooms, shower rooms, and locker rooms
• Empty wastebaskets
• Clean windows and glass
• Clean outside hard surface areas
• Police inside and outside areas of trash
• Assist with snow and ice removal
• Dust and wash blinds and coverings
• Respond to custodial work orders according to their priority
• Practice green cleaning techniques
• Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding cleaning solutions and disposal
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management
