Position Overview

Tools Inc. values the cleanliness and condition of our facility. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the general cleanliness of our manufacturing facility by performing tasks such as mopping, wiping down machines, sanitizing surfaces, etc., to ensure a neat environment for our employees and guests.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, and restroom cleaning.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery surfaces and employee lounge.
• Remove trash and recyclables daily from all areas.
• Maintain the property around the facility and parking lot, including spreading ice melting compounds, assisting with snow removal, and property cleanliness.
• Report safety, sanitation, and fire hazards immediately to management.
• Perform indoor and outdoor cleaning tasks as needed.
• Refill supplies such as toilet paper and paper towels, and monitor inventory levels.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and safe usage.
• Prior janitorial experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment around machinery.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to identify issues visually and perform detailed record keeping.
• Excellent time management and punctuality.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks with or without accommodations.
