Job Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties including cleaning and sanitizing sinks, toilets, showers, restrooms, floors, walls, windows, and other areas.
• Empty waste containers inside and outside the building.
• Replenish supplies such as soap and paper towels; report stock issues.
• Assist in proper disposal of biohazard materials.
• Maintain cleanliness in the pool area and sanitize fitness equipment as needed.
• Report any building problems and perform sidewalk/exterior cleanup.
• Monitor licensed program spaces like preschool and summer camp to meet regulations.
• Set up furniture for events and assist with building setup and displays, including outdoor marquee.
• Follow all YMCA policies, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Uphold YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in all interactions.

Qualifications

• At least six months of related experience preferred.
• Physical ability to reach, bend, stretch, and lift/carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to use equipment and chemicals safely, read labels, MSDS sheets, and instructions.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and work well with diverse groups.
• Alertness to safety and security issues, with quick thinking in emergencies.
