Job summary

Pinellas County’s Facility Management division seeks a Craftworker 1 to perform skilled trades across multiple building systems in the St. Petersburg area. The role involves plumbing, mechanical tasks, minor electrical work, locksmithing, and drywall/paint repairs as needed.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with opportunities to lead small teams on projects. Candidates should have 2 years of skilled craft experience or a trades diploma with 1 year of related

Qualifications

• 2 years of skilled craft or trade experience installing, repairing, and maintaining building systems, including plumbing/mechanical and minor electrical components.
• Diploma or trade program completion with 1 year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combo of education and training.
• Florida Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled work in installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of commercial building systems.
• Maintain plumbing and mechanical systems in large facilities.
• Read blueprints and schematics to guide repairs and projects.
• Repair electrical components, switches, and panel equipment as needed.
• Communicate progress and status of work assignments.
• Utilize asset management system to track maintenance tasks.
