Job summary

Stantec GS, Inc. is seeking to assemble a team of interdisciplinary Facility Assessors/Inspectors for a large-scale DoD facility assessment program across the US.

The role covers mechanical, electrical, shell, and structural elements, with hybrid work opportunities and travel nationwide. Candidates should have building systems experience, strong writing and communication skills, and be prepared to work in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated on-the-job experience or formal trade school education in building systems.
• 5 years of experience preferred.
• Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or other applicable field.
• Master mechanic/technician.

Responsibilities

• Conduct an inventory of client facilities classifying building components per ASTM UNIFORMAT II.
• Perform assessments of client facilities to determine physical condition and conformance with specifications and building codes.
• Experience using facility condition assessment software; familiarity with BUILDER SMS; training provided.
• Use tablets to document mechanical or electrical equipment and justify condition.
• Work under direct supervision and in accordance with standard practices.
• Inspect large complexes and climb ladders to assess building elements and systems.
