Job summary

Stantec GS, Inc. is seeking interdisciplinary Facility Assessors/Inspectors to support a large-scale DoD Facility Condition Assessment program across the United States. Assessors will evaluate mechanical, electrical, shell and interior elements and classify components per ASTM UNIFORMAT II.

Travel up to 50% or more is required; hybrid work arrangements are available. A strong background in building systems and formal education or on-the-job experience is preferred, with a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Demonstrated on-the-job experience or formal trade school education in building systems.
• 5 years of experience preferred.
• Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or other applicable field.
• Master mechanic/technician experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct an inventory of client facilities classifying building components per ASTM UNIFORMAT II.
• Assess physical condition and conformance with specifications and codes.
• Utilize facility condition assessment software; learn SMS and related tools.
• Document findings with tablets and justify condition assessments.
• Work under supervision with standard practices and travel as required.
