Job summary

Stantec GS, Inc. seeks interdisciplinary Facility Assessors/Inspectors to work on a large-scale DoD Facility Condition Assessment program across the US. Assessors must have knowledge in mechanical, electrical, shell, roofing, structural and interior elements, and related experience.

This full-time role reports to a Stantec office and supports a remote/hybrid work arrangement. The position favors candidates with construction management or engineering backgrounds and the ability to travel 50% or

Qualifications

• Good mathematical aptitude required.
• Good communication and organization skills.
• Ability to travel, 50% or more.
• Position requires a drug screen.
• Must have valid drivers license with good driving record.
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience or formal trade school education in building and mechanical systems.
• 5 years of experience (preferred).
• Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or other applicable field.
• Master mechanic/technician.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inventory of client facilities classifying building components per ASTM UNIFORMAT II.
• Assess facilities with professional expertise to determine physical condition and conformance with specs and codes.
• Experience using facility condition assessment software; knowledge of BUILDER27 SMS is desirable; training provided.
• Document mechanical or electrical equipment with tablets and justify physical condition.
• Work under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and standard practices.
• Be physically able to inspect large complexes and climb ladders; walk up to 5 miles per day.
