Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Janitorial Associate in Accomac, VA, to keep facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. You will perform routine cleaning, restroom sanitation, floor care, and manage supplies while following safety guidelines.

Schedule is Third Shift, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime and a focus on teamwork. The position offers an hourly base rate of $17.50, potential pay premiums and overtime where applicable, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field.
• High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.
• Previous experience in commercial cleaning preferred.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills to interact with facility managers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in various areas of the facility.
• Sweep, clean and mop floors in common areas and high-traffic zones.
• Disinfect restrooms, mirrors, fixtures and partitions.
• Empty trash and replace liners daily.
• Clean breakrooms and offices; wipe tables, sinks and floors.
• Wipe down microwaves, refrigerators and high-touch surfaces.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
• Report major repairs to management.
• Adhere to PPE and safety procedures.
• Participate in company and department safety programs.
