Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Facilities Technician to keep our plant running smoothly, maintaining buildings, systems, and grounds. You will inspect and repair electrical and plumbing, perform general maintenance tasks, and work with trusted vendors to ensure a safe, reliable environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years experience in related field.
• Maintains Perdue Farms QEW Certification.
• Commitment to continuous learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance of building systems, plumbing, electrical, and general infrastructure i.e., painting, general carpentry, floor repairs, installing general office equipment, lighting. Develop preventative maintenance schedules.
• Perform regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and building codes, identifying potential hazards.
• Diagnose issues with building systems and equipment, providing timely solutions to minimize down time.
• Respond to plant related emergencies, such as power outages, floods, and weather threats.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand plant needs and address concerns promptly.
• Ensures a safe and clean environment for all associates.
• Works all required work schedules.
