Job summary

Perdue Foods, part of Perdue Farms, seeks a Ranch Associate to maintain clean, safe poultry housing and support daily operations in our barns. You will focus on sanitation and animal care, following established procedures to ensure biosecurity and production quality.

The role offers a base rate of $20 per hour with potential premiums, overtime, and an annual bonus. Benefits include medical, 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, and other coverage. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-4:00pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of work experience.
• Good communication, reading, math, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Properly mix and administer vaccines to flocks in the field as prescribed by Grow Out management to maximize bird health and performance.
• Perform tasks such as field feed inventories, rodent bait station maintenance, temperature monitoring, and generator checks as prescribed by Grow Out management.
• Provide the Grow Out Manager with a weekly report regarding bird health and vaccination status.
• Communicate with Grow Out management daily regarding scheduling, vaccination, or producer issues.
• Pick up vaccines and supplies as needed for daily activities and coordinate vaccine inventory and usage with the Medication Department.
• Properly handle, store, and dispose of vaccines in a prescribed manner.
• Maintain vaccination equipment.
• Operate company vehicle safely following all policies and laws.
• Clean vehicles and equipment daily and follow bio-security procedures.
• Adhere to safety rules and PPE usage; report unsafe conditions.
• Must not have exposure to poultry outside of work.
