Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Laundry/Supply Room Attendant for the 2nd shift to help keep the plant running smoothly. You will manage supplies, support daily inventory needs, coordinate incoming materials, and provide dependable laundry services for associates.

The role requires organization, reliability and energy to support a fast-paced operation behind the scenes. You will work Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm–12:00 am, with weekend work as needed based on production schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field.
• High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming freight, lifting packages up to 70 lbs and place in designated area.
• Conduct daily inventory audits as assigned by materials inventory clerk.
• Process and file all paperwork, including withdrawal slips and receiving paperwork.
• Pickup vendor supplies at various locations, load/unload freight using a hand cart.
• Enter inventory and adjustments in Maximo system.
• Stock all laundry supply room bins.

In this hands‑on role, you’ll help manage essential supplies, support daily inventory needs, coordinate incoming materials, and provide dependable laundry services for our associates. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm- 12:00 am, with weekend work as required based on department schedules and production needs.

• Receive incoming freight, lifting packages up to maximum of 70 lbs and place it in the designated area using proper lifting procedures.
• Conduct daily inventory audits assigned by materials inventory clerk.
• Properly process and file all paperwork to include withdrawal slip and receiving paperwork.
• Pickup necessary vendor supplies at various outside locations, to load and unload incoming and outgoing freight using a hand cart.
• Enter in Maximo system and register daily inventory and adjustments.
• Properly stock all laundry supply room bins.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field.

• High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

When in a plant environment:

• Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and100% humidity.
• May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50db to 110 db.
• May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
• Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm. Able to stand for several hours.
• Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
