Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a diligent janitorial worker to perform a variety of cleaning activities in assigned buildings, ensuring clean, sanitary and orderly conditions.

The role involves high dusting, sanitizing, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, floor care and grounds maintenance across public areas and food courts. Responsibilities include following safety guidelines, using germicidal solutions, inspecting spaces, and reporting maintenance needs to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning chemicals and MSDS.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to walk, stand, lift 1–30 lbs and operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• High dusting of surfaces above shoulder height around rooms and corners.
• Sanitize and spot-clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Bathroom cleaning and sanitation with attention to sink, toilet, dispensers and mirrors.
• Empty trash, replace liners and maintain waste area cleanliness.
• Floor dusting, sweeping and vacuuming with proper technique.
• Maintenance of outdoor/grounds areas including trash and debris checks.
• Clean public common areas and food court surfaces and keep seating tidy.
• Sanitize floors using germicidal solutions and ensure clean walkways.
• Perform routine inspections of rooms and correct issues to prevent complaints.
• Assist supervisor and account manager with additional cleaning duties as needed.
