Job summary

EMCOR Government Services is seeking a full-time General Cleaner for the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA II) project in College Park, MD. This SEIU, Local 32BJ–represented position supports government facility operations and offers steady hours.

You will perform cleaning, dusting, restroom sanitation, trash removal and related duties, following safety guidelines and working independently to maintain a clean, safe environment for visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance or cleaning preferred.
• 1 year janitorial experience required.
• Ability to read and follow English instructions.
• Must obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Shift: 6am–2:30pm or as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Clean, stock and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, etc.)
• Dust and wipe down surfaces
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
• Notify supervisor of any maintenance or repair needs
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects, if required
• Performs other duties as assigned
