The primary purpose of this job position is to provide services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, with the established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Director, to assure that quality services are provided at all times.

Major Responsibilities
- Assume administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for directing the facility's activities and programs when on duty or appointed as staff in charge.
- Consult with the Director via telephone regarding issues, concerns, and challenges when the Director and/or Lead Facility Attendant are absent.
- Ensure the safety of residents at all times.
- Follow daily work assignments, including: light housekeeping, dietary preparation, stocking, cooking, meal service, administrative duties, recreational programming, light maintenance (e.g., changing light bulbs, batteries in detectors), and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Ensure all employees, residents, visitors, and the public follow established policies and procedures.
- Provide appointment reminders to residents.
- Maintain good communication and relations with families and residents.
- Promote a positive public relations environment that benefits the facility and community.
- Participate in workshops, seminars, and educational programs to stay current with changes in the residential care field.
- Complete annual continuing education/training to meet licensing and certification requirements.
- Create a warm, personal, and calm environment throughout the facility.
- Perform assigned housekeeping functions, including cleaning, sanitizing, and polishing fixtures and surfaces, with proper safety precautions.
- Clean floors, carpets, hallways, and stairways, ensuring safety signs are set up prior to cleaning tasks.
Skills
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience working with the elderly population
- Excellent customer service skills for positive interaction with clients and team members
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- ServSafe Certification (to be completed within 90 days of hire)
- Ability to pass a background check
