GEO is seeking a chief administrator for a large correctional facility. You will work with regional and local management to meet goals and oversee all facility expenses in line with client directives.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with business coursework and at least ten years in correctional settings, demonstrated leadership, and the ability to manage diverse teams and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in business administration and a minimum of ten years in a correctional or detention facility.
• Strong leadership, sound judgment, and administrative ability.
• Maturity, flexibility, and ability to command respect of detainees and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides leadership for the administration, security and treatment programs of the facility.
• Develops and maintains relationships with client departments and their representatives.
• Enforces policies, procedures and directives for efficient administration.
• Directs facility functions and delegates authority to accomplish tasks.
• Oversees staff development, training and discipline.
• Ensures adequate health, safety, and welfare facilities for detainees and staff.
• Maintains compliance with statutory requirements and coordinates with government and private agencies.
• Responds 24/7 to significant unusual occurrences.
