Job summary

Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking two Facilities Worker II to work mainly on the second shift at the Prestonsburg campus. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, offices, and restrooms; supporting minor repairs; and preparing rooms for events across the campus.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years of relevant maintenance experience preferred. This is a 12-month, on-site position in the Maintenance and Operations department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer 1–2 years of related maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, hallways, and offices daily.
• Maintain restrooms and perform minor repairs.
• Assist with drywall, painting, ceiling tiles, and plumbing tasks.
• Move and set up furniture for events and meetings.
• Mow lawns, weed-eat, and handle snow removal as needed.
• Perform floor care including shampooing and waxing.
