Job summary

Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking two Facilities Worker II to support the Prestonsburg campus, primarily on the second shift. The role is on-site, with a 12-month contract and a 37.5-hour work week.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED. Experience is preferred; additional duties include cleaning, minor repairs, and campus maintenance, with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning of classrooms, hallways, and offices (dusting, trash, windows, vacuuming, restocking supplies).
• Maintains restrooms, conducts minor repairs and assists with major repairs.
• Performs drywalling, painting, ceiling tile installation, minor plumbing, furniture assembly and room setup for events.
• Maintains grounds (mowing, weed-eating, trash pickup, snow removal).
• I mplements floor maintenance (shampooing carpets, sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing).
• Other duties as required.
