Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a facilities maintenance supervisor in Waynesboro, PA to provide skilled oversight across multiple trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general construction. The role requires hands-on maintenance, along with leadership of a team and contractors.

The incumbent will train staff, ensure compliance with safety policies, and help develop preventive maintenance programs. Evening, night, weekend, and on-call rotations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years related experience is required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Post-high-school vocational training or apprenticeship in a trade is preferred.
• Advanced certifications or designation in specialty trade preferred.
• Trade school apprenticeship program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection in at least one trade (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.).
• Evaluates and advises leadership on specialized trades.
• Develops and applies preventative maintenance programs and documentation.
• Oversees contractors, vendors and in-house staff as assigned.
• Prioritizes and schedules services and manpower as assigned.
• Supports training for WellSpan staff.
• Inspects equipment, tools, facilities and procedures for deficiencies and safety.
• Maintains records, logs and reports.
• Coordinates with outside contractors and sales for supplies and contracts.
• Assists department managers with budgeting.
• Provides safety to patients, visitors and staff.
• Leads project management from proposal to completion.
• Supports regulatory compliance efforts for the facility.
• May handle ancillary duties such as waste, boiler room supervision, snow removal, etc.
