Job summary

Plexus Corp. in Idaho seeks a Maintenance Technician/Industrial Electrician to operate and maintain facility systems that support production and related operations. You will fabricate equipment, troubleshoot electrical/HVAC systems, lead preventive maintenance, and coordinate with contractors to install or reconfigure resources for manufacturing needs.

An Associate's Degree with 4+ years of related experience is preferred. State-approved apprenticeship or HVAC training may be required.

The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level.

Salary Range:
$51,800.00 - $77,800.00

Purpose Statement:

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all facility systems and equipment to ensure that the facility is able to support all facets of production and production-related operations.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Fabricate machinery support equipment as needed in support of manufacturing process needs, including welded racking, support bracing and material handling items.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems such as electrical, HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and more. Install necessary hardware and utilize continuous improvement tools to promote efficient manufacturing processes.
• Lead and document preventive maintenance on all facility systems and equipment to proactively identify risks and ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the equipment support team to effectively install, remove, and reconfigure facility resources for production equipment, meeting manufacturing, industry, and customer requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to external contractors conducting facility and equipment repairs, ensuring effective working relationships and efficient task completion.

Education/Experience Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with 4 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
• Depending on site requirements and business needs, completed state-approved Maintenance Technician or Industrial Electrician apprenticeship, completion of formal HVAC/refrigeration training or equivalent may be required.
• Employee should be able to read and follow electrical wiring diagrams.
• A strong mechanical aptitude is required and a working knowledge of single phase and three phase 120v, 208v, 277v, and 480v electrical systems is preferred.
