Job summary

Plexus is seeking a Higher Level Assembly Technician in Nampa, Idaho, to assess, implement, and maintain manufacturing procedures for intricate assembly processes. You will support the Focus Factory Team with efficiency, accuracy and safety improvements across Plexus's assembly operations.

The role emphasizes adherence to good manufacturing practices, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving, with opportunities for growth through development programs and ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree with 1+ years of related experience preferred.
  • Follows good manufacturing practices (GMP) and safety standards.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Executes manufacturing solutions that are high-quality and cost-appropriate, satisfying customer requirements.
  • Uses tools to create, analyze, and verify documentation, programs, models, or production tasks.
  • Supports Plexus Manufacturing processes and product specifications as required.
  • Operates under supervision with adherence to GMP and provides production support.
  • Understands equipment, process control, safety, risk awareness, and setup needs.

The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Salary Range: $45,300.00 - $67,900.00

Work Shift: This shift helps cover operations on our A Shift which works Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday ,from 6am-6pm.

Purpose Statement: The Higher Level Assembly Technician assesses, implements, and maintains manufacturing procedures for intricate assembly processes. As a key technical advocate within the Focus Factory Team, they utilize their skills to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety improvements in Plexus's assembly operations.

Key Job Accountabilities
  • Executes Manufacturing solutions/ Provide services that are high-quality, cost-appropriate, and satisfy the customer's requirements and applies process improvement or troubleshooting as it applies to their role.
  • Utilizes appropriate tools to perform necessary work including creation, analysis, and verification of documentation, programs, models, processes or production as it applies to their role.
  • Demonstrates a basic, discipline-specific understanding of how they support the full Plexus Manufacturing processes / Product Requirements & Specifications as it applies to their role.
  • Successfully executes responsibilities under supervision in accordance with good manufacturing practices and Plexus' Manufacturing Processes AND provide support to direct production line operators as it applies to their role.
  • Basic Understanding of Equipment / Process control / Safety / Risk Awareness / setup awareness / operation of, as it applies to their role.
Education/Experience Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree with 1 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
