Job summary

Camillus House Inc in South Florida is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to maintain safe, functional facilities and support the organization’s mission. The role focuses on inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring safe and clean environments for clients, staff, volunteers, and visitors.

Under the Facilities Manager, you will address maintenance requests, perform a range of building-system tasks, and contribute to a coordinated team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of diversified maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and data collection programs.
• Knowledge of trade tools, safety precautions, and local codes.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and with staff and vendors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Cultural sensitivity when serving vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings, grounds, and facility systems to identify maintenance needs and safety issues.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, motors, and office equipment.
• Complete minor repairs such as painting, carpentry, masonry, drywall, flooring, and ceiling tile work.
• Assist with facility setup, office moves, and furniture installation.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of facility areas and outdoor grounds.
• Respond to emergencies and maintenance requests; maintain logs.
• Maintain tools and supplies; coordinate with staff and vendors.
