Job summary

Metro YMCA of the Oranges is seeking a part-time maintenance staff member to help keep the facility clean and well maintained. Responsibilities include cleaning, basic repairs, and setting up events to support daily operations and community programs.

The role requires a high school diploma and several years of maintenance experience, with knowledge of cleaning methods and proper chemical handling. This position offers benefits and facility access through a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Three years or more in general maintenance or related experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret written instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Understanding of upkeep and care of equipment.
• Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

Responsibilities

• Keep YMCA attractive and clean by completing daily duties.
• Perform cleaning tasks: mopping, dusting, trash removal, window washing, painting, vacuuming.
• Record and report repairs; repair as directed.
• Ensure building security during shift and report hazards.
• Replace soap, towels, and supplies; set up/breakdown events.
• Repair equipment as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
