Job summary

The Highlands Ranch Metro District seeks a Facilities Technician in the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Department to maintain district-owned buildings, parks, and equipment, and to collaborate with contractors on facility projects.

Two levels exist: Technician I and Technician II, with pay up to $26 and $30 per hour respectively. Requires valid driver’s license and ability to perform inspections, light repairs, and operate heavy equipment; on-call and winterization duties may apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with facility/maintenance exposure.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean MVR.
• Technical aptitude for building and grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain district buildings, grounds, and parks; assist with projects.
• Work with contractors on preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Perform inspections and assist with safety procedures.
• Operate tools and equipment including tractors and trucks.
• Assist with special events setup and on-call after hours.
