Job summary

GGP is seeking a Facilities Technician for Short Pump Town Center in Richmond, VA. The role supports the Operations Manager with safety plans, maintenance, and repairs to sustain property assets.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing building systems, minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and assisting with events and decor. Requires a high school diploma and 2–3 years in building maintenance; valid driver's license and basic MS Office skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of building maintenance or related field experience.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with management, employees, tenants and external contacts.
• 2-year Tech School graduate or trade certificate is a plus.
• OSHA General Industries 10-Hour course is a plus.
• Familiar with Microsoft Outlook (email).

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems.
• Operate equipment for preventive maintenance and minor repairs; keep property clean.
• Perform interior/exterior maintenance: painting, drywall, parking lots, sidewalks, plumbing, lighting, flooring, roof.
• Maintain inventory systems, records, MSDS, supplies and tools.
• Repair/modify/move retail merchandising units as needed.
• Assist in event setup and mall decor installation/removal.
• Perform custodial duties and assist with snow removal as needed.
• Support safety policies and participate in training; assist with emergency planning.
