Job summary

IPG Photonics Corporation is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and improve our Oxford campus facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair building systems, and coordinate with contractors to support manufacturing operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in facilities maintenance and a high school diploma or GED, with trade certification preferred. On-call availability and independent problem-solving are highly valued in our manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school or trade certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, construction, industrial maintenance, or related trade.
• Willingness to work on‑call.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on facility infrastructure and building systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and general building maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to support facility projects, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Assist with facility renovations, equipment moves, office reconfigurations, and workspace setup activities.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Support facility projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
