Job summary
IPG Photonics in Marlborough, MA is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Engineer to support reliability and lifecycle needs of precision optical fabrication equipment, vacuum systems, and metrology tools. You will troubleshoot equipment, develop maintenance strategies, and collaborate with production, process engineering, quality, and vendors to improve uptime and safety.
You will lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs, analyze uptime data, and implement improvements across vacuum,
Qualifications
- Two+ years in equipment engineering or maintenance in precision or high-tech manufacturing.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and thermal systems.
- Experience with CMMS, preventive maintenance, and root-cause analysis.
Responsibilities
- Serve as technical resource for optical fabrication and coating equipment.
- Troubleshoot vacuum chambers, pumps, valves, seals, and gauges.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Analyze performance data to drive reliability improvements.
