Job summary

COMHAR INC. seeks a reliable Facilities Technician to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections for residential homes and office buildings within the city and surrounding counties.

You will operate a company vehicle and use standard tools to address electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building tasks. The role requires 1–3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to participate in rotating on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED).
• Current Driver's License with satisfactory driving record; eligible to operate program vehicles.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience in related trades.
• Trade certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing preferred but not required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, not required.
• On-call cell phone coverage required.
• Maintenance work in Philadelphia, Montgomery and Northampton County Areas.
• May be assigned additional projects within COMHAR Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential homes and office buildings across service area.
• Diagnose issues and determine best action; complete tasks efficiently.
• Manage work orders via Maintenance Connection on a tablet; update status and report completed work.
• Participate in rotating 24-hour on-call service for emergency maintenance.
• Rotate schedules with teammates; coordinate with other technicians and supervisor.
• Maintain company-provided vehicle and tools; ensure proper use and security.
• Adhere to safety protocols and local building codes; document inspections and preventative tasks.
• Collaborate with contractors and Facilities Manager; communicate clearly with team and stakeholders.
