Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in one or more skilled trades.
• Excellent knowledge of tools and equipment for building trades.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA standards; ability to operate forklifts, aerial work platforms and other equipment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform journeyworker level repairs in maintenance and alteration of buildings, grounds, and equipment; troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and commercial mechanical systems.
• On-call 24 hours per day for emergency maintenance and snow removal if needed.
• Possess a valid driver’s license; operate facility equipment and vehicles including snow removal attachments, forklifts, and aerial lifts.
• Plan and manage projects from plans and drawings; ensure timely execution.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and parts; assist with furniture installations and renovations; operate hand and power tools.
• Interact with internal customers; maintain Facilities Help Desk requests and records; support PM program activities.
