Job summary

Grand Canyon University in Phoenix is seeking a Facilities Technician I or II to perform work order tasks, move office furniture, equipment, and set up spaces. The role involves reading plans and coordinating with campus staff to meet move requirements.

You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, operate basic hand tools, and work flexible hours including weekends. Prior experience is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 50 pounds independently.
• Must be able to read drawings, space plans or blueprints with spatial recognition.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with team partners.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays as necessary.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• May work independently or as part of a team on work order assignments or supervisor tasks.
• May set up and break down office furniture, cubicles or modular furniture and equipment.
• May assist with space planning and drawings as requested.
• Transport a variety of office or classroom furniture and equipment between locations.
• May order or pick up materials and supplies; may operate basic power tools.
