Job summary

Grand Canyon University is hiring a Floor Tech for the Night Shift to maintain campus cleanliness and safety across university facilities. The role requires 2+ years of floor cleaning experience, ability to handle commercial equipment, and a flexible schedule including evenings and some weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ work experience in floor cleaning capacity or related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to understand English and follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensures cleaning supplies and equipment needed for daily shift are available and accessible.
• Always observes safety and security procedures.
• Performs preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use at beginning and end of the shift.
• Handles floor care, including routine mopping, buffing, and burnishing on hard surfaces, stripping, waxing, polishing, power washing.
• Provides floor maintenance; including vacuuming, carpet shampooing, and high-dusting.
• Completing daily logs and reports.
• Assist with new team members in demonstrating proper floor care procedures.
• Other cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned.
