Job summary

CNS Healthcare is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support building operations, grounds, and vehicle upkeep under the Facilities Manager. You will perform day-to-day repairs, preventive maintenance, keep maintenance records, and handle basic trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical.

The role is full-time, on-site with some travel between locations and occasional after-hours work. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, retirement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-3 years’ experience in Facility maintenance
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry
• Knowledge in the use of hand tools (drills, power saw, hammer, screwdriver, etc.)
• Ability to work independently without limited supervision
• Working knowledge of CMMS software
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Time management and problem solving skills
• Team collaboration and initiative

Responsibilities

• Complies with codes, regulations, and safety directives
• Performs day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance
• Maintains repair records and reviews work orders
• Estimates time and materials for repairs
• Orders materials and supplies for tasks
• Performs carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks
• Maintains facility grounds and handles snow removal
• Conducts inspections of facilities and vehicles
• Documents inspection findings and coordinates repairs
• Responds to maintenance requests and on-call duties
