Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; mechanical/electrical education preferred.
  • Up to 5 years of facilities/maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC/mechanical, and building maintenance.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical/manufacturing environments is valuable.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment independently.

Responsibilities

  • Install & Repair: Perform facility and equipment installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Work on boilers, chillers, dust collectors, air-handling units, compressed-air systems, fire alarm systems, and other facility equipment.
  • Multi-trade Work: Handle basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and light construction tasks.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair facility/manufacturing equipment; respond to emergency repairs.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance per company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring: Monitor facility and manufacturing equipment to identify operational issues.
  • Vendor Coordination: Work with outside vendors/contractors when specialized services are required.
  • Documentation: Maintain work orders, PM checklists, blueprints, permits, and other documentation.
  • Regulatory Support: Participate in inspections with FDA, EPA, fire department, and utility authorities.
  • Emergency Support: Provide after-hours/weekend emergency support when needed.
