Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee's Student Union seeks two Facilities Technician III to maintain a 330,000 sq ft facility with dining, conference, and recreation spaces. You will perform routine and non-routine maintenance, assist with construction, and support tenants while upholding safety standards.

These roles primarily follow the first shift (7:30PM – 4 PM), Monday through Friday, with flexible or extended hours as needed by the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in facilities maintenance or basic maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain complex machinery, equipment, and facility property.
• Perform routine facility inspections and monitor cleanliness.
• Troubleshoot, escalate, and document issues.
• Receive, inspect, inventory, and distribute deliveries.
• Assist trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance.
