Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is seeking a Facilities Technician III to join a team that maintains and improves campus facilities through skilled construction, remodeling, and preventative maintenance. You will assist trades, supervise student workers, and help keep spaces safe and welcoming for learning.

Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, repairing drywall, painting, flooring, ceilings, and furnishings, estimating materials, and coordinating repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent at time of application.
• 2 years of experience in carpentry or commercial maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanical and building repairs; familiarity with tools and safety.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist trades, crafts, vendors and staff with construction and maintenance.
• Perform routine facility inspections and monitor cleanliness.
• Repair and remodel facilities and furnishings, estimate materials, and supervise project staff.
• Repair drywall, paint, ceilings, flooring and other components to commercial standards.
• Troubleshoot and document issues per policies.
