Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is seeking two Facilities Technician III to support the Student Union's maintenance and operations across five floors and 330,000 square feet. These roles ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment.

The positions primarily follow the first shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM) Monday–Friday with potential for flexible hours. Responsibilities include inspections, repairs, coordinating deliveries, and assisting trades and technical staff to maintain

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two+ years of facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Utilize equipment to repair and maintain complex machinery and facility property.
• Perform routine and non-routine facility inspections and monitor cleanliness.
• Troubleshoot, escalate, and document issues per policies.
• Receive, inspect, inventory, and distribute facility-related deliveries.
• Assist trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with maintenance as needed.
