Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician III

Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician III will perform skilled maintenance operations throughout the club. Will work independently in various trade operations such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, painting, HVAC, and drywall.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment, ensuring equipment is in proper working order and available for use.
  • Maintains physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
  • Perform maintenance on all HVAC systems
  • Perform carpentry work such as but not limited to, interior and exterior building woodwork, fabricate wood framework, cabinets, and other products, and install them on wood or metal stud walls, door and window installation on commercial and residential buildings.
  • Receives, manages, and processes work order requests; ensures problems are resolved quickly.
  • Acts as a liaison between Facilities Director and any outside contractors needed to resolve technical problems.
  • Implements preventative maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
  • Ensures safety standards are followed throughout the club.
  • Participates in emergency preparedness planning team.
  • Maintains the inventory of cleaning supplies; reorders as needed
  • Prioritize, schedule, assign, and coordinate work in the facilities department with the work order system to accomplish various building maintenance requests.
  • Perform a variety of skilled building maintenance, including painting and repairs to doors, windows, walls, carpet, lighting fixtures, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Construct and assemble furniture.
  • Operate various equipment and tools, including saws, drill presses, and various hand and power tools, to perform repair and maintenance work; maintain tools and equipment in a safe, clean environment to ensure proper working condition.
  • Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and requirements.
  • Maintain various labor, materials, and work order records, including in-house CMMS systems.
  • Coordinate special projects as directed by the Facilities Director.
  • Manage heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
  • Responsible for alerting the Facilities Director and/or General Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has occurred or that may occur.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor with all members, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
  • Maintain appropriate records for SDS storage and digital records for the online SDS portal.
  • Perform any other duties or requests assigned by the Facilities Director or General Manager.
  • Maintain regular attendance on Mesa Verde Country Club property.

Work Context

Requires walking, standing, telephone, and face-to-face discussions with individuals or teams. Sometimes, you may deal with unpleasant, angry, or discourteous people. On occasion, there may be exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. Requires being exact or highly accurate, requires repeating the same physical or mental activities over and over, requires meeting strict deadlines, Requires work with external customers or the public, Requires work with others in a group or team, Includes responsibility for work outcomes and results. Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people. Must be able to lift 25lbs on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50lbs occasionally. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, climb, crawl, squat, and stretch sometimes; requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. Must have finger dexterity to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, etc. Must be able to work in various weather conditions, and in refrigeration units, temperatures may range from -20F – 115F.
