Job summary

Marsden Services, L.L.C. is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician Level II to perform installation, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance across a Rochester, MN property portfolio.

You will manage work orders, handle basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks, and collaborate with vendor teams. We require a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience, 4 years in multi-family or commercial maintenance, strong computer skills, and ability to provide your own hand tools.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2-year Technical Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Four years multi-family or commercial building maintenance or equivalent experience.
• Intermediate computer skills: email, hours entry, MS Office/Excel.
• Must provide own hand tools: hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.
• Boiler license levels accepted and preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written & oral.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance to meet standards and laws.
• Schedule and prioritize work orders; ensure timely completion (48 hours).
• Complete basic HVAC, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, fixtures, and window repairs.
• Assist in prioritizing work orders and monitoring maintenance of buildings and equipment.
• Perform site-level preventative maintenance inspections and duties.
• Prepare vacant units as assigned.
• Collaborate with vendor teams on maintenance projects.
• Maintain inventory of hand tools, parts, and supplies for workshop area.
• Maintain professional conduct with residents, vendors, employees, and the public.
• Provide on-call emergency maintenance services as scheduled.
• Assist in training and mentoring new maintenance technicians.
• Attend training; keep certifications current.
• Comply with safety programs and promote safety in the workplace.
