Job summary

The American Red Cross is hiring a skilled maintenance technician in the Houston area to keep facilities and equipment in top condition. You will work across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and HVAC tasks with a team of professionals and volunteers.

With a minimum of 3 years of related maintenance experience, you’ll read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and ensure safety standards are met while supporting the organization's mission to serve communities.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required; trade license may be required.
• Minimum 3 years of related maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and routine maintenance on facilities and equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical systems.
• Use hand and power tools, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to complete tasks.
• Provide safety guidance and work with volunteers as needed.
