Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires at least 2 years related experience.
• Strong knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures.
• Strong knowledge of design techniques, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance service and repairs in carpentry, painting and plastering.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools, power tools and reassemble equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions using blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
• Inspect drives, motors and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions.
• Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment.
• Inspect, operate and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
