Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a Facilities Maintenance worker to help maintain and repair our buildings and grounds. The role requires basic to intermediate trades experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team across multiple locations in the region.

The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and a customer-service mindset while performing varied tasks from painting to HVAC and electrical work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; trade license may be required.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair organization’s facilities and properties, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and structural work.
• Move and store furniture and equipment as needed.
• Estimate time and material costs; requisition supplies and equipment.
• Plant and tend flowerbeds; prune and water greenery; manage exterior maintenance tasks.
• Drive vehicle to other locations as needed.
• Perform all work in accordance with safety procedures.
