COPT is seeking a Building/Facilities Technician to manage day-to-day building operations at Annapolis Junction, MD. The role includes responding to tenant requests, performing repairs, and preventive maintenance across building systems, ensuring safety compliance and high standards of appearance.

The position requires a high school diploma, at least two years’ related experience and ability to work on-call, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational training preferred; CFC certificate and apprentice license preferred.
• Minimum of two years experience in facilities, maintenance or building technician role.
• Proficiency with Maximo or similar work order systems preferred.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical) and finishes; coordinate with subcontractors; ensure safety codes are met.
• Inspect and maintain building and grounds; keep daily operation records; advise Chief Building Technician of major issues.
• Maintain building security, investigate alarms and life/safety incidents.
• Assist with event setup/takedown and keep tools and supplies organized; report needs for replacement or restocking.
