Qualifications

• Experience in metal fabrication environments is not required but beneficial.
• Able to interpret hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Electrical field experience with voltages from 24V to 480V.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics in systems, reservoirs, pumps, valves, sensors, cylinders, piping and motors.
• Proficient with Windows-based software.
• Must reside within 50 miles of El Paso, TX facility; US work authorization is required.
• No relocation offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment including lifts, cranes, workstations and HVAC components.
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and PLC diagrams.
• Troubleshoot, analyze and repair equipment to identify root causes across electrical, electronic and mechanical domains.
• Conduct mechanical and facilities repairs and basic carpentry, plumbing and painting as needed.
• Support plant operations with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• Maximize equipment reliability by completing work orders and PMs; initiate new work orders from PM observations.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement activities (5S, TPM, Set Up Reduction).
• Assist with outside contractors on plant projects.
