Job summary

San Antonio Community Hospital is seeking a mid-level maintenance technician in California to perform a variety of general maintenance and construction duties. You will inspect, repair, and maintain buildings and equipment in a healthcare setting, leveraging journeyman skills across multiple trades.

Requirements include a high school diploma, one year in building maintenance, valid CA driver’s license, and basic tools. Per diem tools are provided; forklift and HVAC certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year in building maintenance and equipment repair, preferable in a health care setting.
• Journeyman level in at least one trade, demonstrated competence in at least 2, and basic knowledge of remaining trades: Painting, Carpentry, Maintenance, Electrical, HVAC and Locksmith.
• Basic computer skills. Read blue prints.
• Valid California driver's license. Forklift certification preferred. Locksmith certification/bonded and HVAC EPA certification as applicable.
• Experience with hand and power tools. Employee provides basic personal hand tools.
• Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: One year in building maintenance and equipment repair, preferable in a health care setting.

Knowledge and Skills: Journeyman level (expert) in at least one of the following trades, demonstrated competence in at least 2, and basic knowledge of remaining trades: Painting, Carpentry, Maintenance, Electrical, HVAC and Locksmith. Basic computer skills. Read blue prints.

PAY RANGE

$23.00 - $35.10
