Job summary

CRVA is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician I in Charlotte, NC. This full-time role involves maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC work, and general facility upkeep at the Charlotte Convention Center.

You will support event setups, manage light and floor-plan coordination, and work with vendors. The position emphasizes safety, customer service, and alignment with CRVA values and goals.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma and a minimum of 1-2 years of schooling or related experience or training is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance and repair in electrical, structure buildup and teardown, and general building maintenance at the Charlotte Convention Center.
• May assist in leading maintenance and repair projects at the Charlotte Convention Center.
• Works with team to ensure all setup is done to meet client and department expectations.
• Teardown shows and cleans up areas for next scheduled event.
• Maintains all equipment in facility that is part of the heating and cooling systems.
• Ensures proper light setup prior to all events.
• Coordinates with vendors on facility floor to ensure accuracy of detailed floor plans.
• Assist Facility Maintenance team members with painting, carpentry, dry wall repair, etc.
• On-call one week per month, as needed, to support event operations or facility needs.
• May perform other duties as required.
