Job summary

Forge Biologics in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to help maintain a safe, clean, and functional work environment within a cGMP facility. You will perform preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and support senior technicians while learning facility systems and GMP requirements.

You will work on painting, carpentry, fixtures, grounds, and equipment, with opportunities for hands-on learning, mentorship, and career growth in a manufacturing‑support setting that

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ year in facilities maintenance or related field.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely for routine repairs.
• Comfort with painting, drywall, carpentry, and fixture installation.
• Ability to perform grounds/exterior maintenance including snow removal and landscaping.
• Willingness to learn CMMS/BMS software and GMP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance including painting, drywall repair, patching, caulking, and minor carpentry.
• Assemble, install, and repair office furnishings and fixtures.
• Complete general repairs to maintain facility appearance and functionality.
• Maintain grounds, including landscaping, trash collection, snow removal, and exterior upkeep.
• Document completed work in CMMS and assist senior technicians with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
• Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training.
